Local site pane is the bane of my existence

#1 Post by bigfun » 2011-02-10 19:59

Hello, wonderful people who built filezilla! I love me some filezilla, but i use a netbook with a tiny screen, and because i drag and drop from directory windows supplied by the OS (not your local file pane, which is more difficult to navigate) -- i have no use for it. but i cannot make it go away. i can make it small, but not small enough. remember, i am using a netbook. could it be that filezilla was never intended to be used on netbooks? or might it just be possible to add some support in the UI for making it go away. people have been asking for such a feature for years, but now that netbooks are common, perhaps you will listen.

Local site pane cannot be disabled as lots of functionality in FileZilla depends on it. It would be a lot of effort to disable it. Also, note that using drag&drop, a lot of things aren't possible that would be possible using the local pane.

Try reducing your font sizes, that should make the local site pane usable.
