Do you have a mapped network drive which isn't working?

No. It's just a single drive c: , not on any local net. During the 1+ min. Load time there is a lot of disk activity.

Broken virus scanner perhaps. Try uninstalling it.

No virus scanner on the system. The filezilla process is traversing the entire system looking for some locale folder that does not exist.

I have searched forums and see that a few people reporting same problem but it seems like responses are blaming the users yet it is filezilla causing this issue.

It hardly traverses the entire system, only a few directories. If locating the locales is this slow there's something fundamentally wrong with your system. Try formatting your disks and reinstalling Windows.

This is a clean system, and i found 5 others posting similar problem. While I appreciate your quick responses, if "formatting your disks and reinstalling Windows" to a perfectly fine system is the best help I can get to a known bug with this software (all other programs work perfectly on this system) then I think the solution is to trash this buggy program and look for a better one.

no - i discovered the problem - broken developer.

you seem to treat users who report this bug in the same manner.

see this poor guy who actually took the time to trouble shoot the issue and you mock him as well:

Even if FileZilla were to search a thousand directories it wouldn't take longer than a second unless your system is broken.

How can I make you understand?
