As required in RFC 3659 (http://filezilla-project.org/specs/rfc3659.txt), FileZilla assumed MDTM returns timestamps in UTC. Based on the timestamp return in the LIST reply and the corresponding MDTM reply, it calculates the timezone offset of the server.

Obviously this fails on broken or misconfigured servers.

I can assure you that it works fine on all standards-compliant servers.

I go back to Filezilla Version 2.2.32. Everthing works fine, no probs with the timestamp and i can edit my files direct at the server.
I give the project FZ 3 more time, perhaps in 6-12 month FZ3 works for me better.

Thx a lot for your help.

Bye Oeffi

Nothing will change in FZ3 regarding this matter. It clearly is your server that is broken and disobeys the RFCs.

Hmm, but why works FZ 2 without probs? I don't understand that. All of my ftp-progs have no probs with the timestamp, only FZ3. It's too high for me.

Because FZ2 was not standards compliant. But FZ3 is.

Hi botg,
Thanks for all explication.
... Everybody should work standards compliant & make standards compliant products, and the IT-world should be nice and simple!

BTW, @Oeffi:

Did you remark the the option "Adapt server time zone" in the tab "Advanced" of the "File > Sitemanagement" window, after you selected a website? For me, it's helping if I give it -1! 8)
