Filezilla can't edit a webpage. All it does is transferring your pages from your local machine to the server, and vice versa.

Normally you'd download the webpage with Filezilla, edit it (favorite editor as HTML is plain text), and then upload it again.

I repeat: Filezilla can't edit webpages. It's like asking the bus driver about how to do your work.

Note: If you want a general answer about HTML, I'll move this thread to the Off Topic forum, as General discussion is about FTP in general. 8)

thanks! I'm confused with this whole thing. I have a website and now I can no longer edit my pages through my hosting site so they told me to try this site. I have each page on my desktop but I can't change them. I need to figure out how to change my pages so I can then upload them through here I think....thanks anyway!

Like I said earlier, Filezilla is used to transfer the pages, not to edit them. Actually HTML is plain text, you can use any editor that supports plain files. Unfortunately most WYSIWYG editors (like Frontpage, Dreamweaver etc.) cost money. Maybe someone responds with a nice free software to do it?

In short: To edit HTML, even Notepad works.

I guess I will move you.
