Implicit port reset to 990 every time FZServer restarted

#1 Post by redleg » 2009-10-27 20:12

Did a quick search to see if this (possible bug?) had come up yet, didn't see any mention in server support, so here goes...

Running FileZilla Server 0.9.33beta on two separate computers, XPpro SP3 and Vista(Ult) sp2. I noticed this "anomaly" on both servers following a reboot and thought it was just my overlooking something after upgrading to this latest FZS beta.

Both computers run forced explicit encryption on a non-standard port (52221 in general settings), on the SSL/TLS settings page all 4 boxes are checked (enable FTP over SSL support; allow explicit FTP over TLS; disallow plain unencrypted FTP; and Force PROT P to encrypt file transfers)

The "Listen for implicit SSL/TLS connections on the following ports (default:990)" is left blank, on purpose, as I do not want implicit FTP sessions, only explicit. Up until this last upgrade leaving that box blank worked as anticipated and my nonstandard FTP listed port set in general settings handled everything as I desired, all connections to a specific port, explicit encryption and PROT-P.

Now, every time I restart the server on both computers FZS opens my non-standard port and port 990 and actually allows implicit connections on 990- which I do not want it to do. Everything else works as expected.

Am I overlooking something or is this a new feature/fix to automatically update and populate the implicit listen box with a persistent port 990 regardless of admin desires?

As I just now mentioned it as one or did I miss other posts about it? either way, thanks for the confirmation, it's not too difficult to open settings and delete 990, just took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on.. :)
