Logfile for each day is not being created

#1 Post by Shawn94 » 2011-02-17 23:07

FileZilla Server 0.9.34

I have 3 instances of FileZilla Server running on the same system.

In Settings > Logging I have asked FileZilla Server to "Use a different logfile each day" and told it to delete old logfiles after 14 days.

However, only one file is being kept at a time for each instance. "fzs-2011-02-17.log" is the file for today. Tomorrow it will be "fzs-2011-02-18.log". Has anyone seen this before?

I contemplated submitting a bug on this, but wanted to confirm here first. This WAS working for me in the past, but I can't really pinpoint exactly when it started happening. I have to assume it happened either when I started running multiple instances of FileZilla Server or when I upgraded to 0.9.34.

Thanks everyone!

Do you use the ''Limit log file size to'' option? If yes, there's a common point of confusion: The size limit you enter there is for all log files together, not for each. See Server log.

boco,

Thanks my friend! Yes, it's limited to 500KB. I'm increasing now to a more realistic number.

BTW, the support on this forum is awesome. I don't know what some of these users are talking about....great free product + great support= can't be beat

Thanks again for the quick reply
