Posting this because a Google search of
"filezilla preserve timestamps of transferred files"
turns up long convoluted discussions of problems and errors.
The answer may be so obvious to everyone that they never write the first step:
Using FileZilla v 3.27 on Windows 7, it is here:
File menu, Transfer.
Make sure the setting "Preserve timestamps of transferred files" option is checked.
It offers a shortcut to change the setting: Ctrl+U
(be careful using it--it changes the setting silently).
