Re: Alias suddenly not working?

As I'm sure commonly happens in these situations - I made a stupid mistake (pointing to a non-existent folder!). I apologize for wasting your time. The system works great. Thank you for the help.

Re: Alias suddenly not working?

I believe mapped network drives require that a user is logged in at all times - is that incorrect?

As well, while I appreciate this may be a work-around - is using share drives not SUPPOSED to work anymore? This solution did work at one point, and it seems like a reasonable way to set things up.

Alias suddenly not working?

I've had some aliases setup for various users for a while now, but they seem to be no longer working. I am using FileZilla Server 0.9.41 beta, and I've tried the latest FileZilla client, and WS_FTP Pro. The home directory, and the alias, are on shared folders. The home folder shows up fine. And if I...

Agreed - I think it is very strange! The client was the latest version of FileZilla, but I do not have access to logs...

Re: FileZilla Server on Windows Server 2008 R2?

While technically, the product works, I've had some real problems with performance. See my post here:

I'm hoping my last post provides the necessary information. Can anyone help me further track down the issue here?

Thank you!

Re: FileZilla Server Performance on Windows 2008 R2 Server

Yes, I've edited the log, as I mentioned. If you'd tell me what the "most valuable diagnostic information" is that is missing, I will be happy to see if I can restore it. Please let me know.

Re: FileZilla Server Performance on Windows 2008 R2 Server

I had to do a little bit of cleanup, but here's the basics of one session, which is typical during the two weeks I had this on the Windows 2008 box: (000137) 5/13/2011 5:18:28 AM - (not logged in) (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX)> Connected, sending welcome message... Re: FileZilla Server Performance on Windows 2008 R2 Server

Fair Point. We are using SSL/TLS. And the software firewall is not enabled. Does that help?

FileZilla Server Performance on Windows 2008 R2 Server

I recently switched my SFTP server from a Windows XP box to a Windows 2008 R2 Server. I immediately began to get performance problem issues with my users. They began getting timeouts and problems with getting folders to list. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I need to get off Windows XP. P...

Re: Purchasing an SSL Certificate for FileZilla Server

I purchased a wildcard SSL certificate, and one of the formats is PEM. When I look at the contents of the file, it's got three sections of "BEGIN CERTIFICATE" and "END CERTIFICATE". When I try to designate it as the certificate to use, FileZilla server tells me "Could not load key file." Can you hel...

Purchasing an SSL Certificate for FileZilla Server

I am considering picking up a wildcard SSL certificate for my website and hopefully for using SFTP with FileZilla Server (implicit TLS/SSL). I want to make sure that: (a) that would work (aka - FileZilla FTP Server can take the certificate generated by a certificate authority like Thawte, Network So...
