I use Firefox on linux primarly nowdays... and have used several hundred nightly builds on Windows/Linux, though I have not used many builds since firefox 1.0 release as I don't have as much time now along with the fact I'm not a huge fan of Trunk Nightlies right now. Firefox 1.1 is due around March...

Re: FileZilla 3 Linux binary test

I want to find out how difficult it is to distribute binaries under Linux. So here's a linux binary of FileZilla 3. I would be glad if you could test it. Requirements: At least the following: Linux  GTK+ >= 2.0 recent libidn, libpng and expat If you have those libraries installed and want to...

I used to use a old Win95 (can't remember build) (133Mhz 32 Ram) computer alot and I used just about every version from 2.1.7 to 2.2.5a I think on it judging from release dates. I only used the .zip versions. Filezilla worked great on it except the settings window took a looooong time to load up som...

Simple, this is what SuSE users will have to do: bzip2 -d FileZilla_3.0_src.tar.bz2 tar -xvf FileZilla_3.0_src.tar cd FileZilla_3.0 ./autogen.sh ./configure make all make install Can't be more simple than that. Oh is that all... :P Or they could use Wine and run the Windows binaries of FZ3. :P Done...

What about those who choose to use SuSE or Mepis or whatever distro besides Gentoo

I'll be a happy if I can get FileZilla setted up and running as easy as say the Firefox tarball... but untill then heh.

Long awaited and finally here, the first alpha of FZ3: http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/misc/fz3_alpha1.zip (Windows version only, Linux users are expected to compile it themselves. I'm using a source based distribution, so I can't create RPMs) Don't expect anything from it, it's still early develo...

Re: New toolbar for FZ3?

I don't recall seeing anything of this news from the Qute Firefox theme maker at moment, Any links or such to this news? Don't think this is mentioned anywhere since I've only talked to him via email. Maybe he'll update his website when he starts on this project, I don't know. Ah.. ok thanks. The o...

Re: New toolbar for FZ3?

Hi! Just wanted you all to know that Arvid Axelsson, the maker of the default (Qute) theme for Firefox is going to make a suggestion for a new toolbar for FileZilla 3. He said he probably would have something ready in about two months, as he had a different project to work on first. Hopefully BotG ...

I've only used the .zip versions of the Filezilla client myself whether it be win95 or now win xp pro. I guess it is also because I do the same with the mozilla.org products I use/test also.
