Re: Multithreaded Encryption for FTP Over TLS
That is unfortunate. Perhaps if GnuTLS implements that in the future, things might be better for people in my situation. To answer your direct question: The server started life doing just SMB file sharing in an Active Directory environment. Over time it has been asked to do other duties like light v...

Re: Multithreaded Encryption for FTP Over TLS
I did try changing that from its default of 2 to a new value of 24. I found that it doesn't appear to impact the performance (or maximum CPU utilization) of a single transfer. I suspect it would handle lots of concurrent transfers better though.

Multithreaded Encryption for FTP Over TLS
Are there any options for multithreaded software encryption that can be enabled in FileZilla server? If not, I'd like to request it. I recently upgraded a storage server of mine from a single Opteron 6234 to dual Opteron 6180 SE processors. The former is an Interlagos based processor (ie Bulldozer)....

Filezilla client using LIST instead of MLSD
Is it possible to force Filezilla to use MLSD instead of LIST? I'm running a pureftpd server which returns its LIST response using server local time. Filezilla appears to interpret the timestamps as UTC. As such, this causes shenanigans with timestamps, and I'd like for Filezilla to use the more con...

Re: Client keyboard input problem on Debian 9
An expert call on your part. Removing ibus and rebooting solved the issue.

Client keyboard input problem on Debian 9
Hello folks. FZ Client appears to have a keyboard input issue on Debian 9. Backspace and delete don't appear to work in most textboxes. I've tried both the version of FZ in the Stretch repository and also the latest version on the FZ website. A fresh install of Debian 9 yields the same result, so I ...

Re: Unexpected behavior during append command
Does the server or client treat unrecognized extensions as text by chance? If so, that might be an important piece. We use a custom binary file format (*.rex) for most of the files we transfer, and that's where this happens. Also worth highlighting is that this resume problem only exists when the co...

The same thing happens with regular binary transfers.

Re: Unexpected behavior during append command
Alright. I'm resuming a file called "File.txt" on the server that currently has 3 bytes in it. Status: Resolving address of example.com Status: Connecting to x.x.x.x:y... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... Response: 220 A login message. Command: USER someuser Re...

Unexpected behavior during append command
I'm posting this in this section since I'm not sure if it's a FileZilla Client or FileZilla Server issue. I'm using both FZ Client 3.2.6 (2009-06-28) and FZ Server 0.9.32 beta. The server has a folder setup with file append, file write, and directory list permissions. The following behaviors are exh...

How to make network shares available using FileZilla Server
I recently ran into this issue as have a lot of others it seems. So you want to setup FileZilla Server to share a network resource instead of a local one. You've probably tried setting it up as a mapped network drive. You can transfer files to it all day long in Windows, but it just won't work as a ...
