Can't stop "Check for Updates"

Because I must keep Vista on one of my systems for legacy software reasons, at lease temporarily, I'm unable to update FileZilla beyond 3.25.1 and I always had "Settings/Updates/FileZilla Updates/Check for FileZilla Updates Automatically" set to "Daily". Obviously, I don't want to be offered Updates...

Actually, there may be a much easier workaround to "trick" Filezilla into displaying the date you expect to see. Simply create a file in the root folder with a name such as "! This file MUST REMAIN HERE". Be sure to begin the filename with the exclamation point, but do not include the quotation mark...

Actually, there may be a much easier workaround to "trick" Filezilla into displaying the date you expect to see. Simply create a file in the root folder with a name such as "! This file MUST REMAIN HERE". Be sure to begin the filename with the exclamation point, but do not include the quotation mark...
