Re: Problem with 3.10.0 version

The developer already said that he was taken by surprise, himself, by the sheer number of wrongly configured servers. That outcry wasn't intended, to that degree. Fair enough. :) By the way, do you know if any of the FileZilla devs/admins/mods have posted any kind of scripts or documentation that w...

Re: Problem with 3.10.0 version

So knowing this, did FileZilla decide to put an end to incorrectly configured servers at the expense of its users? No, it was just a decision to use a more secure connection by default. This would have given hosting companies time to configure their own servers, and given users a bit of a heads up ...

Re: Problem with 3.10.0 version

FileZilla now uses FTP over TLS Explicit by default if the server agrees to it. Only then. The problem is that hosting FTP servers do have FTP over TLS enabled but are not configured to support it. If they had correctly disabled FTP over TLS support you (and all the others) wouldn't be here. So, ye...

Re: Updated To Version 3.10.0 Now Receiving Errors

If you're using GoDaddy's cPanel, try this: Go to FileZilla > Site Manager then change the Protocol from FTP - File Transfer Protocol to SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol. As soon as I did this, I was able to connect without making any changes on GoDaddy's end. I guess FileZilla devs decided to sing...

Re: ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server

Go to FileZilla > Site Manager then change the Protocol from FTP - File Transfer Protocol to SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol.

Try connecting now. Does it work?

Re: Problem with 3.10.0 version

I experienced this same issue when I upgraded to 3.10.0 / 3.10.1 / 3.10.2. An easy fix, if supported by your GoDaddy account, is to change the Protocol under FileZilla > Site Manager to SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol. As soon as I did that, I was able to connect. The only other way to get it to w...

Re: Failed to retrieve directory listing

I'm having this exact issue as well. After spending days having to use different means to access my GoDaddy FTP server, I found this article: https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/12432/filezilla-errors-the-servers-certificate-is-unknown-econnrefused Which prompted me to try a different approach ...
