Dang.

In my particular case I don't think there will be false positives. The connection is lightning fast when it isn't timed out.

Maybe I can hex the value to be lower. A lot of work, but might be worth it for this efficiency.

I agree. I have a friend that works at DreamHost. I'll mention this to him. What do you think of lowering the minimum timeout to 1? Is there a constant that can be easily tweaked somewhere that allows us to do that? That would really make my life easier, and probably for others too who would like to...

Did you accidentally delete your public root folder? Each website hosting company has a different public root folder. For example, on HostGator and other cPanel websites, it is /public_html.
