Re: after updating to 3.52.2, my Site Manager settings are empty.

The site data normally is stored in ~/.config/filezilla/sitemanager.xml

Did you by chance previously use FileZilla (Pro) as distributed from the App Store?

You need to update to the most recent version. Outdated versions are not supported.

Re: Upgrading from 0.9.41 to 0.9.60.2

While the new versions use SHA512 by default they can still read the older version's data.

Re: Default considered version of EBCDIC in FTP transfer

FileZilla does not convert file contents from/to EBCDIC. Any conversion that has happend has been performed server-side.

Both SFTP and FTP over TLS (FTPS) are secure. Pick any one your server supports.

Re: Can't connect *without* VPN

There is a malicious firewall or router, possibly on your ISP side, that blocks FTP over TLS.

Re: Problems with Date keeping on upload (box checked)

Your third-party client does not use MFMT.

You need to update to a modern server that not only supports MFMT but also properly advertises it in the reply to the FEAT response.

Re: TLS 1.0

Your hosting provider is using a bad FTP server. They need to upgrade to a more modern and secure FTP server.
