Re: Can't connect to Server [unsolved]

No idea what could be causing this. If a system reboot is needed it is not a problem with FileZilla though, it does not keep state across sessions.

Re: Connecting to an FTP Server stuck on 'retrieving directory listing'

In terms of network topology, where is the server located in relation to the client?

Re: Files Being Set To Archive After Being Transfered

No, FileZilla Server does not care about file attributes as they do not exist in FTP.

Re: TLS issue...

TLS is the way forward. Plaintext connections, regardless of protocol, are an archaic concept going to disappear soon. Client-side FTP over TLS rarely requires any configuration. This reeks of incompetent server administrators not understanding how the servers they are supposed to administrate work....

Re: Initializing TLS...Connection timed out

You need to update to the most recent version of FileZilla Server, we cannot support outdated versions.

Re: Problems while uploading img and downloading css/js files

This unfortunately rules out the network as the problem source.

Which operating system are you using?

What CPU does your computer use?

If you click the lock icon in the status bar, what is written in the Protocol, Cipher, and MAC fields?

Re: Can't connect to Server

Are you using any firewalls, virus scanners, VPN software or traffic shapers?

Re: Problems while uploading img and downloading css/js files

Please clarify, are you using FTP over TLS or plaintext FTP? If you see a lock icon in the status bar when connected to your server you are using FTP over TLS. If the lock icon is missing you are using plaintext FTP.

Re: FileZilla Client (Ubuntu) GnuTLS error -50

*sigh* The Debian package maintainer for the filezilla package has decided to use system ciphers, yet on Debian the libgnutls30 package does not define system ciphers. Of course trying to use non-existing system ciphers fails.

Re: Changing permissions: "File attributes could not be retrieved"

Are you by chance trying to change permissions on a directory?

You can only modify permissions of individual files on S3 with FileZilla Pro.

Re: Changing permissions: "File attributes could not be retrieved"

Please post a complete log of an attempt to obtain the file attributes, truncated logs are of no use.

Re: FileZilla Client does not see/find newly updated certificate on primary connection

Which certificate is being used is determined entirely server-side. To prevent connection stealing attacks, FileZilla requires that the server selects the same certificate for both the control connection and the data connection.

Re: Mac crashing

@Gertjan, you have it backwards. FileZilla is not causing the problem, it is merely exposing a problem elsewhere. In other words, you are shooting the messenger bringing you the bad news.
