Re: Connect to FTP server with Internet Explorer

OR, create a webserver (IIS, XAMMP, Cherokee ) on your server and add http://www.net2ftp.com/
This will give a web interface for your ftp, but your ftp is still on port 21
it just give access without installing a client, which may be the issue

Re: Deploying a new FTP site on an existing FTP server

are you trying
ftp.example.com or example.com
if you try example.com, it will most likely work
the ftp in from of the domain may not be setup with your DNS yet
This can be done under CNames and i believe another way......

Re: Subdir permissions of subdirs

the first thing to check , the permissions of what user is running filezilla on the w2k, compared to the user permission of the files that you want to delete

Then is there any virus scanners running on w2k, i have had issues with McAfee not release files after scanning

Re: Do I *NEED* A Router?

your modem (dsl or cable) may have a router built in
many do , and you will need to do port forwarding with it

It is very hard to find good manuals on modems , but you should be able to GOOGLE it and find something, and if you CAN use it
