Re: SOLVED Updated To Version 3.10.0 Now Receiving Errors

Solved this issue server-side. Maybe someone else mentioned this but I haven't read through all 10 pages of the thread. Filezilla stating 'a few servers may be improperly configured.' Well if by 'a few' they mean 'all commerical servers running WHM/cPanel', then yes. The problem is simply that the ...

Re: Cannot retrieve directory listing.

Several hosts that I connect to do not allow the "FTP over TLS" connection (at least not on Port 21) that the new FZ 3.10.0.1 defaults all of my 200+ connections in the Site Manager to after the update. Then why those host's server announce they do support FTPS Explicit? If they didn't FileZilla wo...

Connection issue after update to 3.10.0.1? Nothing wrong with your host... solution..

If you're reading this then you've probably run into an issue that currently getting some heated debate here on this form. You're probably running into an issue with connecting to your host via "Explicit FTP over TLS" and maybe you see lines like - Server does not support non-ASCII characters - in y...

Re: Cannot retrieve directory listing.

Just to chime in on this thread to help make it known that it's not something isolated to just the OP, I ran into the same issue after latest FZ update. I've been using FileZilla for many users and always update to latest version as soon as it becomes available, and I'm using it to log in to the sam...

Re: Not enough storage is available to process this command

I will definitely try that as soon as I can. FileZilla is my favorite FTP software and I dread the thought of having to switch to anything else for my daily use. I'm currently in the middle of a big job for a client so I'm unable to stop and test right now, but later tonight I'll be able to try Safe...

Re: Not enough storage is available to process this command

Does it happen on a fresh Windows installation with nothing installed besides FileZilla and what Microsoft provides? I can't answer that because I thought a more practical approach than spending 2 days wiping my drive and re-installing Windows and all my apps and files would be to just try the same...

Re: Not enough storage is available to process this command

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I've been using Filezilla for at least 4 years now and never encountered this problem until release 3.5.3 just recently. Same error as other users have mentioned: "Can't create thread (error 8: not enough storage is avilable to process this command.)" Same symptoms...

I've tried my best to follow your instructions and the info in fxdefaults.xml.example and created an fzdefaults.xml file in each FZ folder, but I guess I'm just too stupid.

Re: Synchronizing Site Manager Entries between two computers

Thanks to Boco for suggesting the feature! I'm now combining this feature with the use of dropbox.com. It is a free (at least till now) service that allows you to set up a folder on your file system (of a PC, Mac, and even some mobile devices) and a deamon monitors that folder and keeps it in sync ...

Re: Double entries in site manager after import

I know this is older thread but I think I have something of value to add (based on what I learned from gnich40's post above, thank you gnich40!) and my own search of an easy way to have a synchronized "Site Manager" list on two separate computers. IF ALL SOMEONE WANTS TO DO IS HAVE THE SAME LIST OF ...

Re: FileZilla WIKI has been hacked?

Being a publicly editable wiki, it has just been spambotted. Ah yes, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the reminder. Remember, hackers are the good guys. That's kind of confusing when you take into consideration that I've seen hundreds of web sites get defaced and their pages replaced with messa...

FileZilla WIKI has been hacked?

I was just checking out the FZ Wiki pages and came across this page which appears to have hacked (and probably malicious) links entered into to the article linked at

Re: HELP! invisble file (.htaccess) in FileZilla

There is no standards compliant way to show files the server isn't showing by default. As such, servers that hide files by default should be considered broken. Please contact the server administrator so that he can fix the server, either by changing its configuration or by upgrading to a proper ser...
