Re: How to keep duplicates with FTP

If the "duplicates" each are in separate directories, FileZilla will download all of them. Unfortunately, when the local system is Windows, there's an edge case where you cannot store all files locally as-is. FTP servers are usually on UNIX-like (POSIX) filesystems, those are case sensitive (e. g. H...

Re: SFTP missing as on option on the Encryption list.

SFTP is not an Encryption, but a protocol. Select it from the Protocol dropdown control, instead.

In case they mean encrypted FTP, then that's called FTPS and is selected from the Encryption field.

Re: NAT router message at every pc start up

The red NAT warning is shown in case FileZilla Server does not know your external address. It is required for Passive mode. It might "work" with unencrypted traffic on the default port, but it will *definitely* not work with FTP over TLS. All explained in the Network Configuration Guide.

Re: NAT router message at every pc start up

Would be nice to find out why it happens now & then.
Well, if you are using Windows 10, the answer is: Windows 10. That abomination of an OS changes rapidly, and not for the better.

Re: Router WAN IP diff from Public IP

Carrier Grade NAT is often used in IPv6 transition techniques such as DS-Lite. If you have a connection using DS-Lite, hosting servers is only possible over IPv6.

If you have only IPv4 and are behind carrier grade NAT, you cannot host server at all (as you cannot configure the ISP firewall).

Re: File won't delete

When the file refuses to delete, there ought to be a red error in the log pane. What did it display?

Either the FTP user (FTP account or User account the server software runs under) doesn't have sufficient privileges to delete the file, or it is still in use/locked by another process.

Re: Can you change your password?

I think there are some misunderstandings here... 1. You can change the password stored in the Site Manager. FileZilla will send that new password next time when you connect using that entry. So far, so good. BUT: You will NOT be able to change the password stored on the FTP server! FTP simply doesn'...
