Re: Lost Files

Yes, that'll work, although it will create the top directory name locally and place all files inside. So, for example, a top directory "htdocs" will be created at the local side and all files and subdirectories will be placed inside that. If you know that the files on the server work (webs...

If you don't mind losing official support, you can compile the sources for this special case with the popup disabled.

Re: How can I automatically set folder permissions to 755 and file permissions to 644?

Is there a way to configure FileZilla to automatically upload folders with permissions of 755 and files with permissions of 644? Unfortunately not possible. Permissions have to be set after that transfer is complete. That is, if the server even supports that (it actually doesn't have to). Right now...

Re: Audio Zip File Upload URL

There is nothing wrong, everything works as designed and intended. The URL you get from FileZilla is the FTP URL, it points to the file on the FTP server. Important: FileZilla cannot give you any other URL, as these other services (like HTTP or HTTPS) are completely independent from FTP (or SFTP). I...

Re: "Don't check for updates" still checks for updates

What you are seeing is the obsoletion nagscreen. When a FileZilla version is of certain age, it considers itself as being obsolete and displays this screen. After such a long time, there must be at least one new update, it just assumes that (nothing was actually checked). If you prefer running outda...

Re: Can't connect to Filezilla FTP server hosted on Win10 PC from phone connected to the same LAN

I mean that's the IP it has displayed on the title bar. That's correct. Mine shows ::1 but that's essentially the IPv6 equivalent. My understanding is that when I connect it from another device on the LAN, I would need to connect to my PC's LAN IP, not the 127.0.0.1. I tried that and it didn't work...

FileZilla 3.39.0 is unsupported. Please update to the latest version for receiving support. That's 3.53.1 at time of writing. Please note that you also must be on an OS of Windows 8.1 or higher.

Re: Can't connect to Filezilla FTP server hosted on Win10 PC from phone connected to the same LAN

the server only shows the localhost IP (127.0.0.1). What do you mean by that? Do you use the correct listening port to connect? The default one is 21, but if you set another port as listening port in the server settings (General), you need to specify it in the client. Note that the admin port (1414...

Re: Can't connect to Filezilla FTP server hosted on Win10 PC from phone connected to the same LAN

1. Your phone is in the LAN/WLAN (has a LAN IP assigned)?
2. You are using the LAN IP of the server to connect? Domain name or external IP won't work as mobile providers usually don't support FTP.

Re: Problems with Date keeping on upload (box checked)

Does the FTP server in your NAS support the MFMT command? You can temporarily enable the detailed log by right clicking the log pane and selecting Detailed log. Do so after a fresh start of FileZilla, then connect to your server. Study the server's response to the FEAT command. If the server does no...

Re: Upgrading from 0.9.41 to 0.9.60.2

There are no intentional changes nor deletions of any settings of yours. However, there are some things that have changed in the meantime. Study the version history between old and new version carefully. And, it's always advisable to make a backup of "FileZilla Server.xml" before doing the...

Re: TLS 1.0

FileZilla Server supports up to TLS 1.2 with high encryption. However, as much as that matters security-wise, it doesn't for browsers. Browsers did never support FTP over TLS, at all. The few browsers left with any support for FTP (constantly shrinking in numbers) do so for plain, unencrypted FTP on...

Re: Cannot connect to server

In the Settings, Admin Interface settings 1. Make sure the Admin Interface is bound to at least your LAN address. Default is * (IIRC) which is all interfaces. 2. Enter the LAN IP of the device that should be allowed to remote administrate into the right field. 3. Assign a password of the required le...
