Re: TLS session resumption on data connection failed. Closing control connection to start over.

In my case, all transfer after that fail as well. The recovery by closing and reconnecting is unsuccessful.

(Unfortunately, FileZilla Server is only TLS 1.2 and I don't have any other TLS 1.3 server for testing if it is TLS 1.3 or not. Hopefully, the new FileZilla Server will arrive soon.)

Re: Can't connect on local network

The problem is that LAN IP ranges are not unique. Traditionally, almost every LAN from a customer router uses IPs from the 192.168.0.0/16 range. Simply, just having a 192.168.x.y address does not mean anything, as other LANs probably use them, too. Public IPs are unique, but often not static. Using ...

Re: Can't connect on local network

It's not so simple when dealing with NAT. What I would do is probing the FTP server before starting script operations. Put a certain flag file (can be empty) in the FTP server root (so it is reachable from the client script). Try to give it a name fairly random, to minimize the chance of hitting a f...

Re: Can't connect on local network

Simple answer: The public IP will not work (or work incorrectly) from inside the LAN, it is only valid for connections from the outside (as the public IP is assigned to your router). The commandline FTP client sends PORT commands including its LAN address, all data connections happen in pure LAN. Fo...

Re: Cache Directory

The cache in FileZilla cannot be disabled, the whole application relies on a working directory cache. However, the cache feature in FileZilla has got nothing to do with the one in your browser . The reason your browser caches the page is because your HTML code tells it to do so (or does not tell any...

Re: TLS session resumption on data connection failed. Closing control connection to start over.

The mentioned change does not have anything to do with it. It only concerns connections to servers not supporting TLS session resumption at all and require confirmation from the user. It would trigger a confirmation dialog in that case, not an error. That being said, I'm getting that error, too, the...

Re: Large ASCII Files (over 1274 line) Scramble Upon Transfer

Hi, you are using FileZilla Pro, which is not supported here (these forums are for the free FileZilla only).

FileZilla Pro has its own customer forums at https://customerforum.filezilla-project.org/ - please re-post your problem there, in order to get priority support for FileZilla Pro.

Re: Can't open data connection with FTP over TLS

And you did forward the whole range? External 5000-6000 to internal 5000-6000. Open in the firewall, too. Common errors made when forwarding: - Forwarding only the first and last port instead of the whole range - won't work; - forwarding the whole external port range onto a single internal port - won...

Re: Can't open data connection with FTP over TLS

On my router, I made a rule, TCP protocol on port 21 goes to 192.168.XXX.XXX
You must make a forwarding rule for the whole custom port range, as well.

Re: unsorted certificate chain

Both key and cert CAN be in the same file, that's what FileZilla Server does with its self-signed stuff, IIRC.

Please use the original Apple tools to unpack the packed archive package you downloaded. Using third-party tools like WinZIP corrupts the application bundle and will not allow you to use it.

Re: Error retrieving directory listing...

While we don't pamper nor spoon-feed anyone with ready solutions, there is a guide in our Wiki that almost exclusively deals with the obstacles to overcome in a NAT environment: [nc]. . . . Nothing is universally free, ever. You either need to invest time and know-how of your own into a free solutio...

Re: Password after software update

You should always update to the latest version and not just if you are "forced " to. Being on the latest version is the prime precondition for getting any support here, btw. If the server rejects your login data, re-enter it from scratch into FileZilla and then try connecting again. Should...
