That's not true. There is 'PROT C' for a reason. Most people just want username and password transfered encrypted and do not want the client to steal cpu power uselessly and therefor enforce PROT C by server or disallow PROT P. We're talking about 'COMMAND CHANNEL' encryption only. There is nothing ...

Hallo, regarding this wiki article . I don't think its more secure to have a separate user than the actual 'local service' or 'network service' pseudo users to start up the service. Disallow 'PROT P'

Hallo,
i want FTPES with enforced command channel 'PROT C' but disallowed DATA 'PROT P'. Didn't find an option for the latter though. Is it possible?
