Filezilla thoughts after using a few years

I just wanted to say thanks to botg and any other programmers for this excellent FTP program. I use it every day, and it is fantastic. I am grateful for the amazing gift you have given the world. https://d2wucpkmh57zie.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/82954-thank-you-gif-Phil-Dunphy-thum-UQ...

switch local and remote window placement

How do I change the local window so it is on the right, and the remote onto the left? To match my dreamweaver setup.

I apologize, I know I have seen this answer before but I must be searching for the wrong words.

Re: Backup Filezilla site settings - extract ftp info

Thank you for your patient reply. I understand now. I do not have a problem using an online base64 decoder so long as they do not require any other information. If all I am pasting in is an encoded password and the site has no idea who I am or what the password is for (or even that it is a password ...

Yes! And I believe you have the source for filezilla published. But I'm not a programmer and was wondering if I need to recover a password if there is a way to un-encode it.

Backup Filezilla site settings - extract ftp info

I would like to be sure I am backing up the sitemanager.xml file first of all. I am using windows. Can you tell me how to find the location to be sure to back that file up on my nightly backups? EDIT: I found it in C:\Users\LOGGEDINUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla Also , I recall reading some time...

Re: Updated To Version 3.10.0 Now Receiving Errors

I found that after the update my encryption was changed to 'FTP over TLS if available'. I changed it to 'plain FTP' and it is working now. Worked for me too. Hello!!!! Admin and programmers, I am sure you would not have updated to this new method by default if you knew it would show that about a bi...

Re: Very slow loading at times in Windows 7

I wanted to come back and say THANK YOU for resolving this issue. Sometime in the last several months the load time went from 3 minutes to 0 minutes. I am grateful to the DEV for paying attention to our concerns and fixing this! http://www.stroke.org.uk/sites/default/files/images/A-big-thank-you.png

Thanks I had the same issue. I did not see the encryption dropdown because I had selected sftp. Switching it back to plain ftp and the encryption dropdown appears. Thanks.

Hmm... In dreamweaver I can drag a folder from one place to another on the server tree. I can also do a copy and paste, but it seems like it downloads to a temp folder on my local computer then sends it back over when I do that.

Re: Server to Server file transfer

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to use filezilla as a website to website file copier? Is this possible? I have backups on my website and I currently download them to my computer but they take sometimes more than six hours to download. I was wondering if it would be possible to copy them acro...

Adam, I am willing to give you 15 minutes of troubleshooting. Please go to <commercial website> and look up our phone number, then give me a call. I am in the USA eastern time zone (GMT -5 or is it -4) so please don't call in the middle of the night :)
