Re: FileZilla crash 3.44.1

Using Win7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I must specify that after this morning's Windows updates, FileZilla worked OK. I was using it to upload some of my sites to a new host.

Then FileZilla prompted me to update. And this is when FileZilla started crashing as soon as clicking the Site Manager icon.

Re: FileZilla crash 3.44.1

Crash here, as soon as I click on "Open the Site Manager". FileZilla FTP Client has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Then I can close the program, and the same error again when I re-open ...

Re: Cannot log in after upgrade

I have 87 sites spread over 50+ different hosts. None of them works with the new FileZilla. Contact your respective server administrators and server hosting providers so that their servers will be fixed to properly support FTP over TLS. I can't believe that FileZilla is alone against the World. The...

Re: Cannot log in after upgrade

I have 87 sites spread over 50+ different hosts. None of them works with the new FileZilla. I have to reset all manually as boko kindly showed above. Not a very good product evolution.

Re: What's wrong with FileZilla version 2.2.28?

Thanks. Indeed, it worked seemlessly; only the advanced settings had to be redone manually. I think an earlier version of the new client did not have that migration facility, and I remembered that last time I had done the upgrade, I had to re-enter all the logins one by one - not so anymore. :D

What's wrong with FileZilla version 2.2.28?

I am using FileZilla version 2.2.28 with no problems at all. Why should I upgrade to the new FileZilla Client 3.0.11? Is there a security issue with 2.2.28?

I am asking because transferring all logins to the new version is quite a lot of work.

Yeah; that's the last time I install "Microsoft Word". It is extremely cumbersome and full of bugs. Thanks.

Not quite ready for a reinstall yet... as this is what I have done 10 days ago, having received a new hard drive.

On the top of the Site Manager window, click on "File" and the Export / Import functions are there.

I also think it is a bit hard to find.

Explorer icons disappeared

When I installed FileZilla, I was seeing Explorer icons both under Local and Remote sites. Then, I installed "Word" (which I purchased a few days ago in a computer shop) and Explorer icons disappeared totally from my PC. I managed to to solve that problem by installing a bunch of updates from the Mi...

Aaaaah yes! It took me a while to find out how. That "File" button top left of Site Manager is really small.

Anyway, for future reference: Open Site Manager -> File -> Import / Export

Thanks!

Hmmm... that's precisely what I am trying to do. I installed Filezilla on 2 PCs (Win XP Pro / Win XP Home). On one PC, I created a login to one of my websites. I selected "Export Settings") and it did generate an xml file. I installed Filezilla on a second PC. Transferred the xml file to the desktop...
