Re: Feature Request: Remote File Editing: Auto Upload on Save

It has now been possible for a long time, thank you very much.
It would be nice that, in this file monitoring mode, the files would be auto-uploaded when changed instead of displaying a confirmation box — it could be configurable if there are people whishing to keep this dialog.

Re: Connection Handling - Client constantly reconnects

So no one is interested in this offline mode (smartFTP) that reconnects whenever needed (UL, DL, show a new filelist) while letting the display and navigation of already browsed folders possible ? It is useful for no transfer timeouted servers. I think that the "R" button is quite old-fashioned. Why...

Re: Spanish Characters in File Names giving an error

I had to force UTF-8 for my server to work like you want it to, shawnbishop. My server supports UTF-8 but, somehow, it was not detected by Filezilla… Try this maybe : Site Manager > YOUR SERVER HERE > Charset > ○ Force UT-8 You can also try another page code if you know you're using something else t...

Re: keep remote screen after disconnect

The cool thing would be to let the remote files and folders dusplayed even if it's disconnected.
Then any later operation would result in reconnecting first then do the action (either DL, UL, rename).

smartFTP can do it too.

Re: Hiding "Local Site" Pane

I second that request.
Some people just need a simple Filezilla server pane and a windows explorer to drag & drop in between.

ie. SmartFTP's layout

Re: Drag 'n' Drop

That's normal Kallen. We can't ask for drag & drop support and then ask Filezilla to ignore where we drop.
You should just drop your file either on the correct folder either into the file pane (usually right pane), which is the current folder.

Re: Connection Handling - Client constantly reconnects

Keep-alive is not effective with no-transfer timeouts.
What shall be done is like in SmartFTP :

Let the fileview displayed even if there has been a timeout (offline mode).
Reconnect on the fly when there is a new transfer.

ie. SmartFTP behaviour.

Nice, so there will be a stable version with this someday…

What would be nice in this eventuality would be to show the window à la smartftp, with no vertical split, only remote window and drag&drop between local OS explorer and remote Filezila window.
