Which Filezilla Client version do you use? Because the current version reconnects automatically if you want to save/upload a file.

Re: Feature Request: Remote File Editing: Auto Upload on Save

quick and easy remote file editing/tree browsing. Dreamweaver8 does it so well, but I'm keen to find an open source alternative (that doesn't lock me into windows). Notepad++ can this with the FTP plugin. But I still use FileZilla for this. Edit: Sorry, I saw the dates to late. It still shows anyth...

Maybe I do not understand the problem exactly, but why you are not using the LAN ip address?

Re: Filezilla disconnects, cuteFTP doesn't; same router-why?

UGH. Okay, it's a tiny bit better that it remembers the directories, but I still have to wait for it to reconnect every time I want to switch a directory. I tested this new feature on all my FTP servers (3 different ones) and it takes only one or two seconds to get the new directory listing (depend...

Re: Filezilla disconnects, cuteFTP doesn't; same router-why?

I installed the new 3.1.3 version and I like the new implemented feature suggested in this thread. It works good, thank you botg.

Re: Filezilla disconnects, cuteFTP doesn't; same router-why?

Why not have FileZilla display the current directory listing regardless of whether one is connected or not. If the server disconnects me, do nothing more than display a disconnect message in the message log. Then when I go to download a file or change directories after a period of inactivity, autom...

Re: URL/HTTP links for files

I vote for it :).

It would be nice to have a feature to copy the FTP (and maybe HTTP) link for the selected file to clipboard. Please :smoke:

Re: How to delete files in Filezilla

What do you mean? What are logs? botg ask for the entries in the message log window. There are the ftp commands and the reply from the server logged that may help to find the problem. You find the message log window below the symbol bar (maybe its disabled with the second button in the symbol bar).

Re: Display password text?

If you lost your password, you can look into the sitemanager.xml file in your %APPDATA%\filezilla folder.

Edit: Of course this path is for windows only. On Mac OS X or Linux the file is stored somewhere else.

Re: Why I'm going back to Filezilla 2 !!!!!

1) Keep Alive - It's no more present on the new client !! Or am I missing where it was moved ? Filezilla 3.0.9.2 have already this feature, it can be found in the options. The only difference to V2 is, that Filezilla V3 does not fake the list command. Thats the reason why the "No transfer timeout" ...

Re: right click menu in queue-no pause/resume/abort??

I too think that the pause option should be provided. Sometimes you have to interrupt your transfert and close down your PC and there may still be many files in your queue. If the pause leaves the files in the queue than the next time you open filezilla should be able reactivate the queue to end th...
