Re: Typing/Pasting Local File Paths Error

I've found the problem now, it was caused by QTTabBar (http://qttabbar.sourceforge.net/) installing the newest version of that doesn't fix the problem, I've filed a bug report with them: https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/qttabbar/ticket/160

Re: Typing/Pasting Local File Paths Error

I've installed the install version now (it seems to still know all my settings - must be saved in the registry?), and I have the same issue with that. Took a little video for you just to demonstrate: http://screencast.com/t/HayGdb6V5 As you can see I'm definitely not using the QuickConnect button th...

Re: Typing/Pasting Local File Paths Error

Thanks for the quick reply. Hmm that's strange. The Local site box is definitely in focus when I press enter. If I press tab it goes somewhere else, when I tab back onto it and press enter I get the same error I was reporting. Perhaps I should just try exporting my settings and downloading Filezilla...

Typing/Pasting Local File Paths Error

Whenever I paste a local file path into the "Local site:" box and press enter, I get the following error: Filezilla could not parse server address: No host given, please enter a host. I'm using Windows 7 64bit. Even if I just type in C:\ I get that error. Sorry if this is already a known bug or anyt...

Re: Thousands of Files in one Directory

The following info is only relevant for Linux servers, I hope it helps: Do you have full root access to the server you're using? If you're using shared hosting then you would have to ask your host if they can increase the limit, but on a dedicated or VPS server you'll be able to increase the limit i...

Re: Will the version2 file list refresh feature come back?

Have to agree. It's the only reason I don't use FileZilla 3, and one main reason I find FileZilla 2 better than all other clients that seem to lack this simple feature. I hope it is brought back.

Re: after upgrading from version 2 to 3

Completely agree with you on point 2, that is one thing that really turns me off of using version 3. For point 1, go to Edit --> Settings --> Interface --> Make sure "Layout of file & directory panes" is on Classic. On the top menu bar, the 3rd and 4th button along hide and unhide the folder tree vi...

Re: Feature Request : A Way To Win Over The Simple Minded

I don't know why but when I use FileZilla 3 (on windows) it disconnects very frequently. With FileZilla 2 I don't seem to suffer from disconnects, well either that or the auto-reconnect works seamlessly so I don't notice. Anyway, just wanted to say that is a nice idea for a feature, would not have t...

Re: Is there a reason why FileZilla can't sync?

This is exactly what I'd like from FileZilla too, just to be able to select all red/yellow highlighted files after a comparison, so that they can be transferred. Sync is pretty much there already we just need a way to transfer the files that it finds missing, otherwise it isn't much use when you hav...

Problem with local directory view & Quick feedback

In FileZilla 2, I could upload a file, minimise the window, save another file to the local directory, click on FileZilla again and it would automatically realise there is a new file there and refresh the local folder so that I could upload it. In FileZilla 3, it never automatically refreshes the fol...

Thank You, a question and some suggestions/feedback

Heya :) Great job on FileZilla 3! I did find a bit annoying to use at first but now it has a keep-alive option that's really handy, nice going. It's not disconnecting as often now. :D I know it's supposedly a server problem not a client problem if you need to use keepalive, but some people don't kno...
