Re: Howto: Compiling FileZilla 3 under Windows

The wxWidgets that installs is not 3.0.1 in the compiler's eyes, its 2.8 for some reason When wxWidgets 3.0.1 installs, it sets the compatibility to 'yes' for wxWidgets 2.8. The Filezilla code requires 3.0.1 and above. This is the problem we're running into. While it has some 2.8 compatibility, it ...

Re: Howto: Compiling FileZilla 3 under Windows

You're either not cross-compiling or you have downloaded and compiled and installed the wrong wx version. I installed right from the cross compiling wiki page which was 3.0.1. When wxWidgets 3.0.1 installs, it sets the compatibility to 'yes' for wxWidgets 2.8. The Filezilla code requires 3.0.1 and ...

Re: "Always trust certificate" checkbox disabled

I know you Filezilla developers will probably recommend against this, but I'm building for my own personal use, so I'd like to ask here. Where are the values (for allowing certificates expired or thought to be expired to be stored) in the source code? *The values for the popups that appear when Fil...

Re: Howto: Compiling FileZilla 3 under Windows

I'm compiling in Linux for Windows. The wxWidgets that installs is not 3.0.1 in the compiler's eyes, its 2.8 for some reason, and its keeping me from compiling Filezilla. See https://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Cross_Compiling_FileZilla_3_for_Windows_under_Ubuntu_or_Debian_GNU/Linux for cross-compil...

Re: Howto: Compiling FileZilla 3 under Windows

If it helps it all, I was able to solve the compiler hanging problems (under Windows) by getting rid of precompiled headers (I forget the configure option, but it was obvious when you look for it). There are other problems, though (to be detailed in another post). I'm compiling in Linux for Windows...

Re: Howto: Compiling FileZilla 3 under Windows

- For installing GnuTLS, I needed the nettle-dev package. That's odd. In particular the nettle-dev package is for Linux and not cross-compiled for Windows. Something else. Even after installing wxWidgets 3.0.1, I can't issue the configure command for Filezilla because it says the requested build 3....

Re: Howto: Compiling FileZilla 3 under Windows

Ubuntu may use slightly different package names. Adjust them as needed. If the directory is missing, create it :) Couple of notes for setting up the compiler on Debian Jessie: - The first time I tried this, I ended up running out of space on the virtual machine. Most boxes will suggest an 8GB or 10...

Re: Howto: Compiling FileZilla 3 under Windows

In the third root step, I get this:

In the first GMP step, I get this:

Re: Howto: Compiling FileZilla 3 under Windows

You suggest running that virtual machine on a Windows computer, and cross compiling for Filezilla for Windows through Debian in the virtual machine? The latter part yes. You do not need to run the VM on the Windows machine though. You could run it on OS X for extra weirdness ;) The official FileZil...

Re: Howto: Compiling FileZilla 3 under Windows

Compiler errors are always annoying :| It should be possible if you build the cross compiler on OS X. I don't know how to do it though. Well, if compiling for Windows ON Windows doesn't work, and the only other type of computer I have is a mac, what else am I supposed to do? There's gotta be a way ...

Re: Howto: Compiling FileZilla 3 under Windows

Last time I checked, during installation you could select different versions of the compiler. Instead of 4.9.1, try selecting 4.9.0 4.9.0 gives me the same exact "all-recursive" errors in the last 'make' step for Filezilla. There's gotta be an easier way to compile this. This is multiple times of g...
