FileZilla Documentation

Ey, I was once able to find the indepth documentation for filezilla somewhere on the web. It stated what each of the commands were and what they did as well as the elaborate login method and the breakdown of how it worked, etc... I need to consult it for the log parser I am making. It is really hard...

Does Filezilla Ever Use Port 0?

Ey guys, I am working on an extensive log analyzer for FileZilla log files and need to know if the client ever uses port 0 to connect to the server. I know it uses port 1 but am unsure about port 0. Thanks.

P.S. I will be sure to let you know when it is done and where you can get it. :)

Re: Analyzing tool for the Filezilla Logfile

I am currently actually working on one that will output an interpreted text file of what each user does in a much more readable fashion and will have statistics. Should be done in a couple weeks. I will release it on sourceforge. Let me know what all you want in it. It will be terminal/console drive...

Export/Import Server Settings?

Ey guys, I am undergoing an upgrade of OS for my server (from Windows 2003 to Ubuntu 9.04) and would like to preserve all the server settings that I currently have. So I was wondering if there were any export/import options for such a thing, since I will be reformatting to Ubuntu and will be running...

Make sure the ports on your router are also forwarded for port 23333.

Re: 425 Can't open data connection.

Look into the settings and see if you can forward ports for the firewall, if so forward the ports that FileZilla is using. I would say ditch Norton Firewall though, Comodo is a free firewall and it is just as good, if not better.

Re: 425 Can't open data connection.

Be sure to correctly forward the ports on the NAT(router) you are using if you are using one.

Re: Possible to Access an FTPES Server Via Terminal?

lftp looks nicer than curl. It can be installed on both Mac OS X and Ubuntu? I tried finding what systems it supports and all I could find was that Unix-like systems support it. From that, I assume it will work on Macs and Ubuntu, am I correct? Thanks!

Possible to Access an FTPES Server Via Terminal?

Ey guys, was wondering if it is at all possible to access an FTPS(explicit) server via terminal on a Mac or Linux machine. If so, how would you go about it? I googled this beforehand and haven't really had any success... Thanks in advance!

Re: Connection Problems...Help Please

I would recommend you stick with implementing passive mode since you would only have to configure the NAT/firewall on the server side to allow all outgoing connections rather than those of the NAT/firewall on the client side, which would be much more hectic. Check to see that you have all ports forw...

Re: How to Specify Port Range On FileZilla for Passive Mode?

i was able to figure out the problem... turns out I never restarted the FTP service after I set the ports... go figure... Not FTP works but I am looking to use FTPS or SFTP on Windows Server 2003. I hear that IIS 6.0 has no support for this, so I am thinking of using FileZilla... good choice?
