Re: After 18 years and still missing the option to limit connections per domain.

Why not?

Long story short, it's just not an important enough feature.

If you want this feature this desperately, you can implement it yourself, or hire somebody to implement it for you. Here's the source code: https://filezilla-project.org/sourcecode.php

Re: Uploading .pdf files

At least for FileZilla all files are the same, it doesn't care whether a file is a PDF, an image or anything else.

Could your server administrator or server hosting provider configured something on the server that post-processes PDF files?

Re: "Connecting to" and "Connected to" Issue

Do you by chance have a saved session in PuTTY with one hostname as the session name, with the other hostname configured as the hostname to connect to?

Configure the key in the settings dialog and use normal login type in the Site Manager.

Re: Can't Connect to Anything :| Fails after command: Command: AUTH TLS

So we think the issue is in my firewall, caused by something with ill intent! would that be right? Possibly. It may also be a firewall sitting anywhere else on the link between you and the server. Some shady ISPs for example inject advertisement into websites, I wouldn't put it behind them to block...

Re: Transfer very large file

Something has caused the transfer to fail. FileZilla then tries to automatically resume the transfer, unfortunately your server administrator has configured the server to deny resumes.

Re: Slow non-responsive filezilla interface

What is your operating system?

When it appears unresponsive, does it during that time consume CPU resources, or does it sit idle during that time?

Re: Filezilla Server for Linux - Questions

It should be possible to set the CAP_NET_BIND_SERVICE capability to make it work with wine. Not sure what the commands are to set this, I'd have to use an internet search engine.

@botg: Could that be another example of a server not properly handling TLS 1.3?
Unlikely. The response to the AUTH command is sent by the server and received by the client before the client start s the TLS handshake starts.

That message does not come from FileZilla.

Re: Can't connect to server

Doesn't look like a server-side bug to me. Look at the reply to the AUTH command, that looks like a malicious firewall has injected a fake response code.

Re: Too many / too frequent updates

It sounds like your organization needs a centrally managed software distribution infrastructure. There are no no plans to add a monthly option to the checking frequency. I'm considering to even remove the weekly setting for security reasons. If a security fix would get released just moments after th...
