Unfortunately my wxListCtrl patch just got rejected, since it would break working code. Instead now I have to use ugly const casts and such things, with the usual problems coming from that, like incompatibilities with compiler optimizations and such. The holy grail of backwards compatibility seems t...

All translatable strings of FZ3 will be in a simple textfile.

poEdit will be the recommended editor for those files.

Time to submit another patch

This time it's about the wxListCtrl::OnGetItem* functions for virtual list controls. They are declared as const for no appareant reason. If I overload them, why shouln't I be allowed to modify the instance?

It's not because I don't like them. It is because Windows itself don't support network dirs completely, it's very buggy. Also I won't be able to test such a feature.

Here's a screenshot of the current development version:

The local file list will be implemented next. Then the remote file list and after that I can start with the file transfers and the queue.

After three hours of debugging, trying to find out why the rich edit control didn't use the tabstops I did set, I found out that it was a glitch in the windows rich edit control itself: If using hanging indentation, the indentation mark did count as tabstop. And since my tabstop was after the indent...

Even better, I may release an early prealpha version in a couple of days. :D Well, I've recently implemented asynchronous dns lookups, so that incases of invalid hostnames or unresponding dns servers the interface doesn't get blocked. Also, I'm switching to wxTextCtrl for the message log, the html p...

A cancel button has been added to the UI. Also, I've added support for international domain names.

Is useless since the TCP protocol guarantees the integrety of the transfered data.

In cases rollback is needed, the server is broken and should be fixed.

If you click on "Save and Exit" or "Connect" in the Site manager, the sites will be saved.

To refresh the file lists press F5 or use the refresh button on the toolbar.

Using more than 10 connections at the same time is not a good idea. There's too much connection overhead and it also leads to extreme fragmentation iof the transfered files.

If this feature would not have been requested that much, there would not be an option to transfer multiple files at all.

I'm currently working on FileZilla 3 which will be cross platform and should run on Windows, Linux, MacOS etc... A library which uses the common build utilities (GNU autotools) is another reason why I prefer libidn. I won't be easy for most linux distributions to create packages for IDNSDK (especial...

To test thing I've added your library to FileZilla 3. So far it seems to work, I can resolve müller.de using the library.

Though most likely I'll switch to GNU libidn, due to the increased chance that it may already be installed on a lot of linux machines. Also, libidn seems to produce smaller code.

First of all, posting this on the feature request tracker as well as the old forums and then here isn't necessary since I'm monitoring all trackers/forums. I'll have to test the library extensivcely and will then decide if it can be used with FileZilla. On a quick overview, I've noticed that the C e...

The logon code now works, FileZilla can now logon to any standard server. Next thing I'll do is adding a cancel button to the toolbar.
