I've tried Captive a while ago, but it didn't convince me. Installation and configuration was easy, but when I first mounted a NTFS drive and tried to write to it, I did immediately notice one thing: Captive is slow! Takes ages to even copy a megabyte. For large amounts of data, copying the files on...

It seems the whole refresh function in FZ2 is totally broken. I'm debugging it currently, but as with all historically grown code, it's hard to find the problem. Part of the reason is the late integration of the directory cache and the refresh feature in FZ2. Sunday evening I'll publish version 2.2....

I've installed SP2 today on one of my machines. Despite the fact that the crap XP firewall did turn on itself and that I can no longer use Windowsupdate, due to missing/disabled system services. It tells me that I don't have 'automatic upgrades', 'background intelligent transfer service (BITS)' and ...

Editbox won't work since where would FZ store the location of the .xml file?

But you will be able to use the -config command line switch exactly like it's already possible in FZ2

I voted no for a simple reason: If I code, writing comments only disrupts my workflow.

All those context switches between programming language <-> real human language take some time.

Also, I feel somewhat silly commenting my own code, as if I would be talking to myself.

It's mostly a complete rewrite with FZ2 as inspiration.

The code looks similar, but there are some larger changes in some areas. Compare the source for the directory listing parser for example. Both can do the same, but in FZ3 the source is more cleanly and better structured.

The linux version of FileZilla uses the GTK port of wxWidgets, under Windows it uses the MSW port of wxWidgets and under MacOS, the Mac port of wxWidgets is used. In all those cases, the native widgets are used. So a checkbox in FileZilla will always look like in any native application under that pl...

Sorry, but I can't understand that sentence. It's not a question and it does not seem to follow the standard grammar rules.

You mean the different look of the widgets? Yes, that's caused by the OS. FileZilla 3 uses the native widgets of the OS / window manager whenever possible.

Won't be a good choice either since "apply to current queue only" should also be used together with <updownonly>
