Re: FileZilla 3.10.0-rc1 problem

In that case, would it not make sense to then silence such error/status messages as the ones below? 11:35:57 Response: 421 Timeout. 11:35:57 Error: GnuTLS error -110: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated. 11:35:57 Status: Server did not properly shut down TLS connection 11:35:57 Error: Dis...

FileZilla 3.10.0-rc1 problem

Hello,

I decided to try out the 3.10.0-rc1 version and the message log doesn't appear to show any detailed information like it did on the stable versions. Raw directory listings also don't seem to show up when enabled.

Re: FTPES data connection delay

Thanks for the patch, it seems to have resolved it. I'm still hoping that, one day, FileZilla Server for Linux will be a thing. I really do like vsftpd, but it's missing a number of important features that will probably never get added. Support for MLSD, forward secrecy, using RSA and ECDSA certific...

Re: FTPES data connection delay

At least in ProFTPd, there are the 'IdentLookups' and 'UseReverseDNS' options that can delay connection. Maybe vsftpd does have something similar? I disabled both on proftpd, it still happens. Also, looking at the packet captures in wireshark, the ACK is always delayed by exactly 200ms and I've onl...

Re: FTPES data connection delay

Looks like a server issue to me. Even when unconditionally enabling TCP_NODELAY in the client, there's still this delay when connecting to vsftpd. I'm also seeing the same behavior on proftpd 1.3.5. According to the docs, it has TCP_NODELAY enabled by default. I believe vsftpd does too, going by th...

FTPES data connection delay

Hello,

I've noticed when connecting via FTPES that there seems to be a 200ms delay for each data connection, it doesn't seem to happen when viewing large directories, however. Do you think it could be related to this?

Changelog confusion

Hello, I noticed something a bit confusing in the changelog. One of the entries suggests that SSLv3 support was disabled, yet some later changes check for AUTH SSL support. Wouldn't this be pointless if there's no SSLv3 support? Changelog for FileZilla 3 (4596 changes): 2014-10-15 09:42 codesquid, r...

Have you tried using the latest version of vsftpd? There have been several SSL/TLS related fixes since then. Even their latest version was released way back in 2012, there's really no excuse to be using anything less.

Re: Error when trying to upgrade to version 3.9.0

I also had this happen on a Windows 7 machine. The solution for me was to close the Google Chrome browser, Windows claimed that several of the DLLs in the FileZilla directory were "in use" by it.

Re: Disable certian Ciphers

Ciphers using MD5 won't be supported in the next version of FileZilla Server. If I may ask, what's the rationale behind not wanting to have IDEA-CBC-SHA? Disabling RC4 makes more sense than anything else, since it's actually broken now. The attacks against it aren't very feasible right now, but the...

Re: Explicit FTP over SSL limited to 100 mbps

Xeon: using proftpd. boco: I stated 100 Mbps, not 100 MBps, meaning maximum 12.5 MBps. In my tests without compression and SFTP, more like 7-8 MBps. If the speed was 100 MBps, I would not have been "upset" at all :) Indeed, I fell victim today. I was shoot at paintball from close range. BASTARDS! I...

Re: Explicit FTP over SSL limited to 100 mbps

Hello I have a strange problem with my FileZilla client. I have two locations with 1 Gbps internet, same provider. Number of hops between the locations is 3. Both locations using 1 Gbps links. Using "Require explicit FTP over SSL" seems to be limited to max 100 Mbps. While using standard FTP, witho...

Re: FileZilla Client 3.7.4.2 with updated GnuTLS?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but FileZilla Client doesn't rely on the CA system and thus this recent vulnerability shouldn't matter in the case of FileZilla Client, since it doesn't "validate" against the root store to begin with.
