Re: Update Filezilla Raspbian Buster the latest release?

We don't, you need to understand that the Linux repositories are run by other people (third parties). As by the license, repository versions must be supported by the repository maintainer. Don't try to replace a repository version, as it will probably be set back/repaired to the original repository ...

Re: Always allow insecure plain FTP for this server? - Does nothing

@botg: I'm with the users, here. There are simply cases where FTP over TLS cannot be enabled, even if desired. Not only in case of embedded things on read-only media, but also in the case of too weak hardware. TLS needs resources (CPU time and memory for encryption) and would slow down such devices ...

We do not support old versions of FileZilla. Try with the latest version, 3.43.0 at time of writing.

Correct, and again, for anyone searching: The official FileZilla Server on Windows does NOT integrate with the Windows accounts at all, it uses its own, distinct user management.

It might have used the older ~/.filezilla location, then.

WinSCP still works. Not much choice with old OS.

No, why should it? Both services are completely independent, FileZilla Server does not integrate into Windows accounts.

You may also have a mouse with faulty micro switches, they tend to double and triple click on a single click.

Re: TLS 1.3 woes

The OpenSSL dependency is with server implementations, nothing to do with FileZilla (which definitely uses GnuTLS). The server code does not know and thus is not aware of the TLS 1.3 implementation. It still assumes the highest available TLS version is 1.2 and simply advertises the highest it can fi...

Re: Filezilla 32bit not supported but need old site details!

If you are still using the same user profile, there should be no problem (all settings are saved within the user profile). Check if the ~/.config/filezilla directory exists (you need to allow showing hidden items).

How old was your 32bit version?

Re: Suggestions for next updates

looked thru the forums and have not found anything that I can do to display file creation dates.
FileZilla can only show modification timestamps. Please note that neither FTP nor SFTP servers send any creation or access timestamps in listings.

Re: FileZilla 3.28 for linux corrupt files with transfer type Auto

@botg: I'm not talking about Binary in General, only about the two marked options. Having to select them if you need is a little inconvenience, but having enabled by default can be disastrous. And, honestly, there are plenty of alternatives to the lacking Notepad application. Exactly like FileZilla ...
