Re: chmod

If by 'IIS' you mean the Windows thing, I'm almost certain that Windows servers don't support CHMOD (it's a *NIX command) or only very limited.

Look at the logs: What's the server's response to the SITE CHMOD command?

Re: site manager: type of access by default: NORMAL

The major part of large public mirrors uses anonymous, it is far more used than you may think. Linux distros, Software archives (like Simtel), they exist for many years and you never had to use an account. So it's actually more used than accounted access.

AFAIK Filezilla stops Keep-Alive after 30 minutes.

Re: -reload-config

OK, made changes to the XML, then executed "Filezilla Server.exe" /reload-config . As I expected, it works. My changes are reflected in the settings. Windows requires double quotes ("), and parameters mustn't be included in the quotes. You could use breakpoints to debug your program, there must be s...

Re: Help: Filezilla for internal use only

Internal network, internal IP. Simple as that. Forget external.

For the other problem, post some logs (DebugLv 3, Raw listing enabled) while reproducing the problem.

Re: How to download file by name from hidden remote side directo

Because Filezilla 2 and Filezilla 3 are different software. New codebase. This feature's not in, yet.

If you exactly know the complete path of the file, enter it in any browser's address line to download.

Re: Help: Filezilla for internal use only

For internal usage only you don't need to forward any ports. Firewalls present on the PCs must be configured correctly, though.

Re: Server doesn't show subst'ed Home dir

SUBST.EXE is still present in WinXP botg.

If I recall correctly from my good ol' DOS times SUBST created drives are internally treated as a network share. Thus the same restrictions apply. Try to run Filezilla Server under a different username than SYSTEM.

Re: -reload-config

Try /reload-config. You should take care for proper quoting as Filezilla Server.exe contains a blank.

Re: Download hangs after one file

You should avoid so called SOHO (Small Office Home Office) router, they are built for basic network operation only. A nightmare for everybody trying to set up a server at home an people like botg who have to work around that [censored] hardware. Use a 'business grade' router. (Or a dedicated Linux m...

Re: Command lines

Current versions of Filezilla have no commandline support. Use a commandline driven FTP client for that, they are invaluable for all automatic tasks.
