Re: Logging in to the Server

You can auto-login to a server using command line arguments: https://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Comm ... s_(Client)

There are also options in the global settings to
- save the session and reload next time (including connection to server)
- have the Site Manager load at startup

Re: How do I know if my ip has access to ftp?

As the FTP test failed, it's a problem with their server. They probably didn't open/forward all necessary ports for Passive mode correctly on their side.

Re: FileZilla doesn't recognize the background colors of CSS

You cannot upload anything to FileZilla, as FileZilla is merely a tool you are using. We do not run any of the services you can connect to using FileZilla. Please check your file names and paths. If web pages work locally but not on the server, it's usually wrong linking* or ignorance of file case**...

Re: unable to connect

We don't provide any services and we don't operate any FTP server. Thus, we can neither provide nor reset any login data. We simply can't because it's not us retaining that data. Asking the financial dept. should reveal some information. Hosting services in companies are usually paid for. They must ...

Re: unable to connect

The people hosting the FTP server. The credentials are stored in the FTP server software. They must either reveal or change the login data (they probably will do only the latter).

Are you sure you are even using a FileZilla product? For anything else, you are wrong here.

Re: Error about invalid certificate is incorrect

As I suspected: The FTP software (FTPS port 990) returns a different, invalid certificate. The HTTPS service (HTTPS port 443) returns the good one. Fact one: The HTTPS certificate is good. Fact two: The FTP certificate is invalid and obviously not the same. Certificates are configured by service, no...

Re: Error about invalid certificate is incorrect

Please note that the configured certificates for HTTP vs. FTP services can differ, being different services, after all. The certificate chain must not only be updated for the website (HTTP server), but must be updated in the FTP server software as well.

Re: index of/ message when trying to access site.

What files do you see when accessing the server over HTTP? There should be index of / and a file and directory list. - If you see nothing (neither a public_html directory nor your list of files), then the web server does not point to your personal space correctly. You did nothing wrong, but the serv...

Re: Cannot connect to server

The warnings are normal the first time. For security reasons, enable FTP over TLS support as soon as possible.

As for the NAT configuration, read the Passive mode section of Network Configuration.

Re: Error message on opening

If you don't miss any of your old settings, just delete that file. FileZilla will create a new, valid one at the next start.

Re: Cannot connect to server

Your screenshot shows The admin interface trying to connect to "desktop" on port 14147. That will NOT work as remote administration is disabled by default. You absolutely MUST use "localhost", 127.0.0.1 or [::1] as server name! The service doesn't listen on other addresses (including LAN IP) in its ...

Re: Cannot connect to server

At least, a start. FileZilla Server is actually two parts: The visible part for administration, and the invisible server engine doing all the actual work (runs as a service by default). If you get the error message from the administration interface that it cannot connect to the server (the engine), ...

Sorry, unless you provide much more information, this topic will be another miss, unfortunately. My magic crystal ball is currently in repairs and so I have to rely on your information.
