Re: Filezilla (MacOS) and Keagent support

I have passphrase on all keys. That's not what I meant. Passphrase on key is fine, Site Manager can be used. But there are servers out there requiring public key authentication and additionally the traditional username/password auth. Such combination would be impossible in the Site Manager as you c...

Re: Change FileZilla Update Location

It is currently not possible to change this in FileZilla (although it's possible to change the default download location in the OS).

Re: File not fully uploaded from FTP

summarize in FileZilla I have no any info about that I uploading an incomplete file Correct, the server does not provide that information. The FTP protocol has no concept of locking files. (for example in Total Commander is impossible to upload the incomplete file because from FTP we receive ERROR ...

Re: How to avoid Copy/move accidentally

Please note that "Ask for action" is only meant for cases of trying to overwrite existing files. Generally, Drag and Drop always happens right away, like in the OS itself.

You can completely disable Drag and Drop in FileZilla, this will prevent such accidents. The question is if you really want this?

Re: 425 Can't open data connection for transfer of "/", but ftptest.net can

In the same network as the server, you must use the private IPv4 to connect. The public IPv4 will not work correctly as it is invalid inside the LAN (from a different network segment). Most FTP server software will detect local connections and act accordingly.

Re: Filezilla (MacOS) and Keagent support

If it's pure key authentication you can specify each server's key directly in its Site Manager entry. I guess it doesn't work that way if the server needs key + password.

Re: Deleted Httpdocs folder

If creating a directory with the same name (maybe httpsdocs?) does not work, only your hosting support can help (and re-instate the correct directory permissions+attributes), please get in touch with them. That's something you cannot do from FileZilla, so, never delete that directory (again). Deleti...

Re: I can't delete Filezilla Server

Uninstallation program for FileZilla Server should have removed it. If you go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla Server\", is it still in there?

Please, also note that if you use XAMPP, that one contains FileZilla Server, too.

Re: getting FTP or SFPT URL Cannot use ftps url

Depends on what the server (not FileZilla) supports. If it only supports FTPS, you can only use FTPS URLs. Try if the file URL still works if you use ftp://.

SFTP is a different service, altogether. You need to ask server support if they support that, too.

@botg: Couldn't you use Italic style for files that were skipped due to overwrite rules? Is that possible, assigning styles on the fly when building queue tab's contents?

Re: FileZilla Server not saving settings

If the "\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla Server\FileZilla Server.xml" really doesn't update, it's a mystery. Except, if you use domain-controlled roaming user profiles and everything you do is stored on the domain controller...

Re: Trying to Clear File on Remote Site

I consolidated bot your topics, it's only allowed opening one per issue. It sounds as if your hoster is caching pages. This is often the case if the hoster uses load balancing (multiple servers in tandem). All you can do is wait until the changes or deletions have propagated. Should be updated/synce...

Re: Time Out

Yes, old clients usually do not use FTP over TLS. Moreover, even if they attempted using it, their supported (old and insecure) TLS versions would fail with many servers. So, seems like your hosting company relies on their firewall or router for rectifying the wrong server configuration. This is bad...

Re: Time Out

The server is not working correctly. Has the data ports blocked, these are required for Passive mode to work correctly. That's why FileZilla fails.

Does your other FTP client use FTP over TLS as well?
