What about bookmarks that just change the local directory?
Stuff I have never used and will most likely never use, so I didn't know it was there. I guess I won't provide my changes then.

Re: Remove clients "local" pane, add vertical directory tree

The source code is there. Please provide a patch. I have been using my own modified version (on Windows) to do this for years and could provide my changes. You previously said that some stuff needed to be disabled: Some entries in the context menus, half of the toolbar, lots of stuff in the main me...

Re: Secure XML with Python

From the thread you mentioned: First, you need encrypt and decrypt string functions, let's call them EncryptString and DecryptString. GnuTLS is needed to compile FileZilla and GnuTLS uses libgcrypt, so you could use the libgcrypt library to write the encryption/decryption functions. I am more famili...

Re: Secure XML with Python

And what is the actual EncryptString or DecryptString functions ? That's a question you have to answer. I thought you wrote this python script. In the first post you said: Hello, I made a little program with python If you did indeed write the script and you are asking that question...I'm afraid tha...

Re: Secure XML with Python

Well, your python script doesn't include the actual EncryptString or DecryptString functions so, of course, it won't compile.

Re: How to connect and upload to "write only" folders?

I've never had anyone tell me they had a problem with it. I am using vsFTPd 2.3.4 as the server and FileZilla works fine with it. My FileZilla log looks like the following, but I am still able to upload files. 08:59:26 Command: LIST 08:59:26 Response: 150 Here comes the directory listing. 08:59:26 R...

botg wrote:And where is the security in that?
Users can only upload files. They cannot see or download files.

I use an account like this for all of the random people that need to send me files each month. This way, I don't have to create a new ftp user account for each and every one of them.

Re: Customizing FileZilla, enabling password protection

Not quite as simple as you need fallback code in order to be able to read data from old versions. This is my own custom version and I am the only one who uses it. I have no plans to make it publicly available. I do not need to read data from old versions, although my actual code is a little more co...

Re: Customizing FileZilla, enabling password protection

Do you just want passwords encrypted in the config files that are written to disk? And you don't care as much about having unencrypted passwords in memory? Do you want to have to enter a password every time you run FileZilla (like a master password) or do you want FileZilla to automatically decrypt ...

Re: When is the command MLSD issued and when not (but LIST)

According to RFC 3659 which specifies both MLSD and MLST, the FEAT response for MLSD is in fact MLST. Thus not a bug. Yes, sorry, I see that now...and figured it was probably something like that anyway, but wasn't sure. You seem to always be good about following specs... Note that there is no disti...

Re: When is the command MLSD issued and when not (but LIST)

Is it a bug? Th OP's server announces MLST and at line 301 of ftpcontrolsocket.cpp from FileZilla Client v3.5.0, mlsd _command is set to yes for both MLSD and MLST. This means that MLSD gets used even if the server announces MLST but not MLSD. else if (up == _T(" MLSD") || up.Left(6) == _T(" MLSD ")...

Not true. I am using a 64bit static build of wxWidgets v2.8.10 with my 64 bit app and Visual Studio 2008.

Re: Compile problems

Well, the obvious would be...Did you install, compile and setup wxWidgets?

FileZilla compiles fine in Visual Studio 2008 with a few tweaks here and there but, to be honest, if you are having trouble with how to setup include files...it might be too much for you.

Re: Need Help: Customize FZ Client to Ignore Fake TCP RST Packet

I spent a lot more time looking into this. It actually is the routers sending the RST packets , but...they only send the RST packets when I connect via an encrypted connection. I thought I got a RST packet, once, when connected via plain FTP but that must have been a mistake, on my part. All t...

Re: Need Help: Customize FZ Client to Ignore Fake TCP RST Packet

It's not the router...it's my ISP, Time Warner, probably through Sandvine. At least I am currently about 70% sure of that. It happens identically with all three of my routers: Sonicwall TZ170, NetVanta 1224STR and a Netgear WGT624. Sometime, in the next few days, I plan to bypass the routers and con...
