The fact you even try and install this crap on our systems means we can no longer use your software. You are untrustworthy.

Hello,
Thanks - when I try the downloading site you suggest, I get a message which indicates that Google has found malware on the Filezilla site...
I suppose that this is a "false positive"! Correct?

Re: Norton AV reports FileZilla as virus, cannot use!

I see lots more people complaining about the malware/virus alert now. Are you sure its safe? Maybe you could use an installer which is not being flagged as malware? Imagine if there is a data breach to all your customers using Filezilla because ...

Re: Upload aborting virus detected

The error message comes straight from the server. They use an integrated virus scanner that is detecting the EXE stub of WinRAR as Malware. You need to contact server support so they can fix their false positive issue. Hello, Thank you for this response. The fact is when I use the integrated ...

Re: unable to download, windows defender "took action"

As long as you download FileZilla through https://filezilla-project.org/ it is free of malware. You need to contact Microsoft and report this false-positive.

Re: inMotion Link Quarantined as Malware

You're using a faulty AV product, consider uninstalling it if you don't want to see bogus warnings all the time.

inMotion Link Quarantined as Malware

After updating to the latest version of FileZilla just now I clicked the "Click Here" link for imotion hosting in the Welcome to FileZilla window. Malwarebytes immediately quarantined the link as malware.

I though you might want to know about this so it could be addressed.

David

Re: Please Help

Prime suspects: Antivirus software injecting their own (often insecure) certificate into the chain in order to hijack the connection. This is called a man-in-the-middle attack and makes those AV's not any better than Malware.

Re: Malware

With much sadness, I declare that the art of reading (and clicking on one more link) is officially dead. :(

You know that the bundled installer/package isn't mandatory to use?

Malware

Hi Guys,

With much sadness, I have asked Users at my organization to not use Filezilla any longer as it is bundled with adware.
When you decide to removed adware from your product, I am sure we will start using you again, unless everyone likes cyberduck more.

Cheers
