"?" marks on files on server end
All of a sudden I am getting "?" marks on the server side folders. Why and how to fix?
Re: "?" marks on files on server end
Always been that way. Until server directories are visited, their state is unknown, depicted by question marks. Once you visit a directory, the ? sign will be replaced with the true state.

I must have hit some key or sum'in because they just appeared two days ago. However, following your response I opened all folders with the "?" and once opened the "?" disappeared. Thank you. Want to give you a favorable and thank you credit for the record but I am unable to find a hyperlink to do so.

I opened every folder on the server side thereby removing the "?'s" one at a time. Closed Filezilla. Open Filezilla. The "?'s" have returned for each folder.

Re: "?" marks on files on server end
As I said, that's always been this way, as FTP servers don't reveal contents of subdirectories until you visit them (listings always are for the current directory only).
Once you visit a directory in a session, the state/contents are cached, for a while. Closing FileZilla ends the session and clears the cache. Thus, the subdirectories' state returns to Unknown/Not visited yet.
Just one of the peculiarities of FTP.
