filezilla documentation url not really any good

#1 Post by Perry2 » 2005-05-04 12:53

It appears to me that no matter where I am in the FileZilla documentation, if I try to copy & paste the url to send to someone, to show them what to look at, I get this:

http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/documentation/

It would be more convenient if the url showed the url, like on the WWW :)

Aha, if you open every link in a new tab, then it works like real web pages. Still, it'd be more convenient for me if I could just click on the links and have it work like web pages.

The documentation menu is bugged and only works with IE

You must choose 'Version without Javascript' if you're using a gecko browser.

Choosing "Version without Javascript" doesn't fix it.

The url line always says "http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/documentation/" no matter what page you are on.

It is a problem with links doing stuff inside a frameset, I suspect.

As mentioned, it makes copying & pasting the url, when pointing some person to the docs, not work.

Right-click the right frame and select "This Frame > Open Frame in New Window" (or any of the many other options) -- then you will be able to see the absolute URL of that particular help page.
