Linux FTP server software with proper Unicode support?

Does anyone know of any Linux FTP server software with proper Unicode support comparable to that of FileZilla Server used with FileZilla Client (besides using Wine)? For example, a file named フルーツバスケット.txt (with Japanese characters) on a server with vsftpd or Pure-FTPd, for example, will show up something like フルーツバスケット.txt on FileZilla Client, but on a server with FileZilla Server will show up as the original フルーツバスケット.txt.

Cheers

This is all I could find:
vsftpd sends file names and folder names in the format they are stored; if the FS uses UTF8 vsftpd sends UTF8 without sending UTF8 during FEAT. There's a patch currently in the works that adds an option to the config file to send UTF8.
Contact the communities around vsftpd and pro-ftpd. Alternately contact the support for your Linux distro. Many have multilingual editions with Japanese support.
