I looked into Filezilla last night (and lots of forum posts) and couldn't find a direct answer to whether I should download the Client or Server software. Any suggestions? Does it matter if I just install Client?

Thanks for your help. :?

Depends what you want to accomplish.

To blatantly copy what is written on the filezilla-project.org start page:
Quote:
Pick the client if you want to transfer files. Get the server if you want to make files available for others.

Hi,

I'm really sorry to ask the obvious but hoping you have patience!! I've never done this before, ever, but what i need to do is change some stuff on the website for the company im working for and the IT guy has told me to download filezilla, edit the site, and upload it again. I just have no idea whether to get the client or server, i honestly dont know the difference, and i dont know if i want to "share" file or not, all i want to do is download the website, change stuff around and upload it again...which one do i get? Please help!!

You need the client.
