how (see subject)
and
now that I have already backed up my pal's
12 gb of data
(about 20,000 files)
and they ALL have same timestamp
(ie time of arrival on remote server)
how can I reset the timestamp of the files to be the same
(on his HD and on my remote FTP server? - without re-uploading)
(which took about 15 hours)
thanks
**************
just noted:
I had also FTP some of his files to my local BU server
(using a different FTP client)
while all the Folders had Today's timestamps
all the files kept the timestamps from HIS server (HD)
keeping timestamps when upload to server

Re: keeping timestamps when upload to server
Menu Transfer - Preserve timestamps of transferred files (Server must support MFMT)
Try enabling that option, reupload all files and set overwrite mode to Resume. So the files won't be transferred again (except ASCII), but the timestamps will be set. (Untested!)
Without reuploading it's amost impossible (you'd have to set timestamps one-by-one).how can I reset the timestamp of the files to be the same
