Just registered to say that I vote for this feature as well. I use both Filezilla and Transmit on the Mac, and Transmit has this auto-upload-on-change feature and never caused corruption for me. It seems to upload files to a temporary location and rename it afterwards, probably after some kind of check. It works perfectly; it's certainly not a technical impossibility.

FileZilla can only automatically upload files you are editing from the remote server, or can warn you that it will sync files to the remote folder you were viewing when starting edition, which is somewhat what happens now if I'm not mistaken.

I don't know much about FTP, but my developer has a few people uploading inventory files into our filezilla account. However I can't seem to tell who is uploading daily (and the files) and who is not. Is there some way to track who and what is uploaded into the account? Thanks John

What do you mean by "FileZilla account"? Such a thing doesn't exist.

In case you mean an FTP account on FileZilla Server, there do not exist any statistics. You would have to run a log analyzer to gather information.

I would like to vote for this feature too.
It is a technical impossibility, I've explained the reasons a dozen times.
Have a look at Fling and TurboFTP and some synchronization software. They are all doing it.

Really? Didn't know about this. If so I would prefer to use Filezilla and would appreciate if it had such feature.

Did anyone made a build with @pants his patch?

Note: Sublime Text has the option for atomic_save. This will probably avoid the issue pointed out by @botg.

Question: Assuming that pressing the 'Yes' button is safe. Shouldn't it be safe to wait a few ms after the change was made before automatically uploading?

Can't we just have a setting of "auto press enter for file was modified popup" or something? I'm just a shtty web dev who works at a isp, but I ain't using other ftp programs as I've been with filezilla for over 2 decades. Hell, since I was like 13 years old lol

Cause right now I'm looking for autohotkey scripts or something to automatically press enter when that window is popped up. Lol kinda annoying but company wants us working on a vps and haven't really had a lot of hobby programming time (localhost dev env), so my fingers are killing me
