Need to link my 2 computers using FileZilla

I have 2 computers hooked up to a router and I want to transfer files between them. I'm on the local computer but need to hook up to the other computer using the IP address. How do i get this done. I also wanted to know do i need to install Microsoft Visual C++ just to use this ftp program filezilla?

I fixed the problem to my earlier question, thanks anyways.
Now that I can connect filezilla keeps saying (error:it can't find the root directory) What do I need to do so it won't display this message?

excuse me all, the error says(error: can't find directory listing) for the remote computer, what should I do to change this?
