forum signature disappeared

My apologies, but there is no other place to post this.

My signature just disappeared for no reason. In the editor, it says nothing about any restrictions other than 255 char limit. Am I breaking any rules? If so, it would be nice to know. I believe they should be listed in the signature editor, so I can know about this beforehand, instead of my signature merely disappearing on me without any notification.

Thank you.

Sure. I apologize. Thanks for answering my request.

A private message stating a "Board warning issued" was not required.

Why not merely state the restrictions in the signature editor? I would have complied to any restrictions mentioned. The only one mentioned is the 255 character limit. It's hard to guess at what the restrictions are, considering they are vastly different on each board. Again, my apologies.

The message text in the sig editor is provided by the board software and not easily customizable, from what I know.

This board is powered by phpBB. It's actually easily customizable. Easier than you'd think. But the pain in the ass is making it maintain your changes when you want to reinstall or upgrade. We used to use it for the boards on Xona.com before it was Xona Games.

For the record, everyone knows me as the lead programmer of this 2-person company I started with my twin brother. It seems weird not linking to the game I work on every day, for more hours than a full time job, simply because I'm planning to sell it in the future and hopefully make a living doing this. It's really not advertising. It's me. It's who I am.

I consider the difficulty of maintaining a change being part of the difficulty of customizing something.
