Server side indexing and client side search

I was wondering if there is any way to index my files using the Server program such that when I use the client program I can search for the files I have available through FTP. That is, is there any function in the Filezilla Server such that I can create an index of the files I have made available and then is there any function in the Filezilla client so that when I access my files using the program I can search the files that are available. I am just trying to find a simpler way to find files listed on my FTP site rather than having to travel through all the directory branches.

No, there isn't. The main developer of FileZilla seems to always stick to the FTP standard(s), and as searching is not something that is standarized (AFAIK), implementing such a feature in FZS/FZC is probably something you need to do yourself.

I'm planning to add a search functionality in FileZilla 3. Problem is that searching can take a long time on servers with a complex directory structure.
