Filetype Associations Not Working Win 7

Hi,

I've been happily using Filezilla to edit PHP and CSS files with Dreamweaver for a long time. Not sure, but I think in the last update, this is now broken. I've tried manually associating these file types in Settings but I get an error msg...

WX_DDE#"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Dreamweaver.exe","C:\Style.css"##System#) could not be found. Check your filetype associations.

The association works fine in Explorer.

Ideas?

DDE associations are not supported. It's a legacy technology from Windows 3.1

Please change your association to not use DDE.

Somewhere in the Windows Control Panel under Programs -> Default Programs.

Been a while. I have no idea why, but it 'fixed itself' all of a sudden. And then I had the monthly Windows Update and now the problem is back again.

Why is the error msg mentioning 'DDE'. I checked the file association in Registry Editor and there's no such connection.

Any ideas?

TIA,

There are at least a dozen different places where file associations can be set in the registry, have you search them all?

I have this same issue with FileZilla right now. I'm not completely bothered by it, because the software is free to use. (I did donate to the project this week...thanks!!) If there is a fix, I'd love to know it. Until then, I'll just open files up through Windows Explorer to edit them. Thanks for making a great free ftp program!
