when I upload files - they get the date of the upload
I want to keep date of file creation on my local system
is this possible?
if yes, how

Yes, it is possible. However, there are a number of preconditions that have to be met to set remote timestamps on upload.
1. The used FTP server software must support the MFMT command. If it doesn't, you can stop reading, Game Over.
2. There should be no timezone/DST conflicts between server and client. If a server sends time in a format different from UTC, you may need to set a time offset in its Site Manager entry.
3. The ''Preserve timestamps of transferred files'' in the Transfer menu must be enabled. Note that if the first condition above is not met this option will affect only downloads.
