Feature Suggestion - Drag and Drop in GUI
Just a suggestion for drag and drop support for upload and download of files from the desktop\ os explorer.
That is dragging the file outside of the filezilla window and dropping in or dragging a file to download from the filezilla window and then dropping it right on my desktop or whatever folder in Explorer (in MS Windows) where it will download to that location.

Drag and drop
Just a "me too" post to say that this is the most important feature for us. I've got a co-worker who still uses WS FTP and refuses to switch to FileZilla until he can download files by dragging them out of FileZilla and onto his desktop or into a folder.
Until this feature arrives, he'll keep using WS and keep smashing our project every time WS forgets to upload source code as ASCII. I hate WS.
Can anyone tell me if this feature will be added? Or shall I just fire the guy?

Another Me to
Just another Me Too
Well, I have my own modified version of Filezilla v2.2.8d and an Explorer context menu shell dll that I wrote that allows me to do this. I can right click on a selection of files in the FileZilla Remote List View and drag them to Explorer. It then gives me the option to add them to the queue or download them now.
I'm not sure if I implemented this feature the correct way, I spent countless hours searching on the internet for how to get the target path of a drag and drop operation, but found very little info. A context menu dll seemed to be the most often mentioned way to accomplish this. My dll checks for a right click drag and drop operation into Explorer from FileZilla. When it finds it, it redraws the context menu with it's own menu items and sends the target path to the clipboard, which FileZilla then reads and uses as the local path for the queue/download.
I'm still working on cleaning up the code and testing it, I just put it together last weekend and it works on several of my XP machines but I haven't done any extensive testing. I could probably upload binaries and/or source in a week or so if anyone wanted to try it.
One problem is that this is unofficial code. For me it's not a problem because I'm the one who modified it so if there are problems I just have a chat with myself and try to fix it. I'm not sure that I'd recommend that anyone try it, but for the more experimental among us...let me know and I can give you a link.

Never mind, we fired him last week. So we don't need this feature after all.Odo789 wrote:Can anyone tell me if this feature will be added? Or shall I just fire the guy?
